Payroll Assistant

Location: Houston, Texas

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and summarize timekeeping information.

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.

  • Data Entry into spreadsheets and payroll system

  • Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning etc

  • Participate and support payroll projects

  • Review incoming mails and respond to agency notices

  • Maintaining and updating employee records on payroll system and master files.

  • Keep track of pay periods, wages salaries and PTO

  • Ensuring Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Maintaining physical and electronically payroll records.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent data entry skill

  • 1 years experience in payroll

  • Associate in accounting or related field

  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skill

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to multi task efficiently

  • Experience with ADP

  • Bilingual- English and Spanish
